Keep daily track of the climatic conditions
of the works of art that are on loan
to other exhibitions around the world.
Valuable paintings and other works of art are often lent to other museums around the world. The climatic conditions during transport and storage at the different exhibition halls vary considerably. Several museums/exhibitions halls do not to keep the strict but necessary requirements on light, temperature and relative humidity. Over time, this fluctuation of the climatic conditions, may damage the fragile works of art.
Tracking it all
The Artmon sensor is easily attached to the back side of any painting, and continuously measure both temperature and relative humidity. At regular intervals, the measurements are reported back to the user through the world wide GSM network. The integrated high-end quad-band GSM modem enables the painting to communicate its conditions from most locations in the world.
Get notified
If the works of art is subject to unwanted climatic conditions, the user is immediately notified via phone/email. The measured temperature and relative humidity are continuously compared to user-defined threshold values (both upper and lower limits). As soon as the measurements falls outside the threshold values the Artmon sensor generates alarms that are forwarded as SMS to a pre-defined mobile phone.
Access anywhere
All measurement data is presented in graphs and tables in the user-friendly Artmon web application. Tools for generating reports, setting threshold values and tailoring the user interface, gives the authorised users a powerful tool to follow the works of art - through any PC with Internet access. Secure access and user permissions prevent intrusion and usage by non-authorised persons.
